When is the McGill University Technology Career Fair and what are the hours of the Fair?
The McGill University Technology Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, January 28 2009. The hours of the fair are from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. You may begin setting up your booth starting at 8:00 am.
Where is the McGill University Technology Career Fair held?
The McGill University Technology Career Fair will be held at the New Residence Hall, 3625 Avenue du Parc, Montreal, Quebec, H2X 3P8.
What is the deadline to register my company to participate?
The deadline to register is December 19, 2008. Please register early to guarantee your spot – registration will close as soon as the maximum number of spots is reached.
What is included in the booth set-up?
Booth set up begins at 8:00 a.m. and includes:
How big is the designated area allocated to each company?
Each company is assigned a 8' deep by 10' wide booth space with a maximum height of 9'. These dimensions cannot be exceeded. If your booth exceeds these dimensions you must select the premium package, which allows booth space of 8' deep by 12'wide.
If your booth is larger than 8' by 12', you must purchase a second adjacent space at the basic rate and indicate it on your registration form.
When do we find out the location of our company booth?
Specific locations will be determined two weeks prior to the Fair and will be announced by email and on our website.
Can we advertise on campus prior to the McGill University Technology Career Fair?
Yes. The Career Fair Committee takes on the responsibility of advertising for all companies participating in the Tech Fair through posters, weekly Engineering Career Centre newsletter, the Career Fair website, the TeN network, and emails to students.

Is an internet connection available?
The TechFair venue will be equipped with wireless Internet access, so we encourage you to bring all your computer media to the Career Fair.

We are coming from outside of Montreal and need shipment information.
Please use the following guidelines when shipping material for the McGill Technology Career Fair. Failure to do so may result in deliveries being refused by the hotel or materials being unavailable when requested.
Please arrange for your shipments to arrive no earlier than Monday, January 27, 2009. Please arrange for pick up by 5:00 p.m. on the day of your participation (January 28 – after this date the hotel reserves the right to dispose of the material).

Note: To confirm that your shipment has arrived, please contact directly your courier company.
You must ship back your booths and/or materials at the end of the day. Please remember to bring waybills of your courier to ensure the prompt return of your materials.
Remember that you are both the initial Sender as well as the returning Sender. Please do not put the Engineering Career Centre as the returning sender.
McGill will not take responsibility for any customs papers in the shipment of your booth and promotional articles from overseas or from the US. The customs clearance forms and address labels for sending and returning booth articles should be completed by you in advance, to ensure the prompt return of your materials.
McGill does not assume the cost of shipping booth articles either to or from McGill.
Will there be parking available?
Parking is available at the rate of $15/day and is not included in the registration package.

How do I edit any of the info I provided when I registered?
You can edit your information by clicking here. You will need your username and your password. If you have lost your username or password, please email the Engineering Career Centre at careers4engineers@mcgill.ca.
The number of company representatives attending must be specified at the time of registration.
Changes to company profile or logo must be submitted by December 19, 2008 at 5 p.m.
Names for attending representatives must be submitted by January 17, 2009 to ensure that printed name-tags are available for them. After January 17, 2009 we cannot guarantee printed name-tags and encourage you to bring your own.
What happens if I have to cancel my registration?
No cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations prior to December 1, 2008.
A 50% cancellation fee will be charged for cancellation received between December 2, 2008 and December 19, 2008.
No cancellations will be accepted after December 19, 2008 at 5 p.m. – the full participation fee will be charged.
What are the policies and deadlines for payments?
Payments are due within 30 days of invoice receipt. Invoices will be sent promptly by email (or by fax by request) by the McGill University Technology Career Fair Committee.
